Today I constructed my first lighthouse sculpture. I haven't created with my hands in such a long time that I had forgotten how soothing it feels. Food nor exercise can compete to the soft moist gray clay.
I didn't have any wire to create a base and structure, but just molding and releasing my anxieties was enough to sooth me.
The lighthouse symbolizes my relationship with God.
Before I went away to Rome the lighthouse I built in my life changing 3-D Art class with Bill Catling crumpled before my hands. What a reassuring way to leave, my relationship with God destroyed.
I feel as though my relationship with God is in a better state.
Here is the result I put a blue flashlight inside in order to create a bedside lamp. It adds more depth and dimension.

My Home in Rome
This is my humble abode in Rome. I live in a Convent with 19 other students all studying abroad in the lovely, adored, mystique, and enchanting city of Rome.
I arrived on September 8 and my eyes were constantly surveying the spectacle. What beauty and power the Roman's possessed.
The Convent I live in is truly captivating. I rarely see the nuns. They live on the 1st and 2nd floor of the convent. Their code name is ninja nuns. The entrance of the convent is a marine, archaic, and mystique presence. Ocean brick walls, mystique treasures that appear as if uncovered from the deep sea.
This is my home. Welcome!
